Computer Training Classes The format most clients select, incorporates only a single computer on overhead projection. In this situation, each student is given an opportunity to operate that computer for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, as the class progresses. While students follow along, they encourage each other, empathize with each other and stay very involved in the process. Because training is SO interactive and customized, this format has proven to be not only cost effective, but extremely successful! Scheduled in blocks of three hours or less to maximize retention and training effectiveness. While fees are based on a 6 person minimum, actual class size may be less if preferred. Maximum class size is flexible, but no more than 12 is recommended. Class content is never rushed, regardless of class size. Because delivery is NOT lecture based, it will always take longer to cover the same material with 12 people than it will with 6 people. (Most people believe computer classes are more effective when each student has access to a computer during class. Pragmatic does offer training in this format. However, after teaching hundreds of classes, we've found them to be a distraction to both the individual student and the class in general. Curiosity sometimes compels students to explore the software and often, requires the instructor to provide individual assistance when they fall behind because they didn't keep up with the group while they were distracted.
